Today, on the Windows Experience blog, we announced that news and interests will be available on the Windows taskbar in the coming weeks. Devices running Windows 10, version 1909 (and later) who have installed the May 2021 Windows monthly update (or later) will be included in this phased rollout. We are taking a measured approach starting with the April 2021 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10, and broad availability will occur in phases. ![]() Specifically, I've had issues with Transparent Taskbar and SmartTaskbar working together.News and interests on the taskbar will begin rolling out to Windows 10 users today. When multiple programs try to customize the taskbar at once, you can run into issues. While all of these apps and features are great on their own, they can clash with each other sometimes. Having a custom image appear there is a nice little touch. It seems like a little thing, but I look at the Start button throughout my days regardless of how I'm using PC. Start Button (opens in new tab) is also a great option to add your own flair to Windows 10. It also lets you affect the taskbar's transparency, which makes the app a good value. It allows you to center the icons on your taskbar, giving it a bit of a Windows 10X feel.
